Who handles financing requests
Financing inquiries submitted on this site go to Jaken Aviation, a division of Jaken Finance Group based in Lake Zurich, IL. Jaken Aviation is a loan brokerage, not a direct lender: it takes your request to a national network of banks, credit unions and specialty aviation lenders and helps you through underwriting and closing. Lenders make all credit decisions.
- Apply & consult. Tell us the aircraft, the price and your timeline. A specialist reviews your goals with you.
- Get matched. Your request goes out to a national network of banks, credit unions and specialty aviation lenders.
- Underwriting. Your file is packaged and submitted to the best-fit lender, typically 1–2 weeks once there is a purchase agreement.
- Approval & closing. We coordinate lender, escrow and seller through closing — usually 2–4 weeks from application.
How we keep content accurate
Time-sensitive figures — rates, tax rules, FAA regulations, fuel prices — are checked against primary sources (Federal Reserve, IRS, eCFR/FAA, AOPA, published lender rate pages) and dated. Payment examples are calculated, not estimated. When we can't verify a number, we give a range and tell you what to check. Read our editorial standards.
